why do you put ice in magners?

All the Magners I've seen come in bottles. No matter how much ice is in the glass you're still empting the bottle. Draught cider doesn't need ice cause it comes out of the tap icy cold.

So there is less cider in there. If they put the ice in first they can get away with selling you less cider for your money. If they make it seem trendy then you are more likely to accept this deception. For the same reason certain fast food outlets put a LOT of ice in your cup before filling it with the drink. If they watered down your drink you'd complain but adding frozen water to your drink seems to be OK. The drink should be chilled anyway so why add ice to it? Just ask for no ice.
Also, why would anyone add ice to mineral water? You are presumably drinking the mineral water because it isn't tap water then why add frozen tap water to it?

Magners is a heavily marketed cider brand here in the UK. Tries to be cool with the whole Irish/ ice thing.
