Strange habits of dogs?

Question

Our pomeranian likes to retreive the cats poop out of the litter box and hikes on it....also hikes on the litter box.
My sister moved in recently with her dogs, a boy and a girl. The girl retrieves the cats poop and she also pee's on it. And the boy hikes on the litter box.
This is disgusting. We don't have alot of places to put the litter box and we tried the covered litter box and it didn't work well for our cat.
We don't know how to stop this. We don't know why these dogs like to do this stuff. It's grossing us out. And we are defenatly not getting rid of our cat, she's such a sweety.
Anyone else gone through this at all?

We would try to block off the room but it's a main room unfortunatly and my grandma is 87 years old and can't mess with baby gates like that.
The pomeranian is downstairs for awhile because him and the boy dog of my sister's will tear each other up when around each other. My mother decided she needed to give the pom away so we are trying to figure out what to do.
It's all a big stressful mess.

eeeuuu ALL DOGS LIKE CAT POOP and duck and goose etc. for that matter it is disgusting,,, but hey what can ya do but make the cat poop inaccessible....i have goldens and aussies,,, they like it too... i keep the cat box in the cellar. cats meow to go down, and dogs stay up stairs. CLean litter twice daily

Try a kitty door in your bathroom which only your cat can access by a remote on her collar. It works!

My dog used to do that and i know its verry gross. I dont know what it is about dogs , they are just attracted to it i guess. But if sounds like they are marking thier territory aslo. We just kept it raised so the dog couldnt get into it...you can also try this powder stuff, if you go to pets mart and ask for it you can get it, just besure not to get the poiseness stuff...good luck
