but when someone says they have seen spirits , ghosts or anything of a paranormal nature .... they are lying or hullucinating ?
even if many witness the same thing ... or there is interaction or communication... and thousands upon thousands of reports
why then is it ok to believe in something that is never witnessed ... but not ok to say you have seen ghosts or spirit ?

ghosts are not a conscious energy Chippy ... they simply repeat actions because they are remaining energy of what was here before
there are many eye witness accounts of this and one of the good ones is the Roman soldiers who walk on a road that is no longer there
that is not demons ... it is simply energy... they do nothing but walk

I wouldn't call it a "Demon," [I have been studying to evoke those though, who knows, maybe I will. I hope not.], but I have seen a shadow man.

At first, I thought I was starting to go insane until the shadow began moving and doing things independent on the placement of light around it, so I count it as among a "genuine experience." I do believe it is the thing that broke my meditation earlier in the day [I don't want to go into that.],, but I do not have absoluter personal proof.

I agree that it is kind of dumb to think someone is insane, or a liar when they say they have seen something odd. Instead of being impartial, researchers have become rather closed minded, which is good for studying fully empirical things, but not anything "Supernatural." I would personally not tell someone that I have seen a "Shadow man," if I have just met them [Here it's okay, because no one knows who I am.].

It's only okay to believe in something no one else has witnessed if it can be thrown in a lab and studied, sad, but true.

I hope that helps, or what not.

Ignore the phooey hooie. People HAVE seen "demonic type spirits", etc., (not I personally, except in nightmares as a kid) and have written extensively and it would be foolish to tell some of THEM (some of them I know of are very reputable teachers/lamas) they're lying or hallucinating!

There are various ways of "knowing" things... my brain is getting fuzzy and I can't remember the Buddhist list on it but it's like when you know "where there's smoke, there's fire" so if you see smoke, even if you don't see the fire, there's likely one there because fire causes smoke. It's the same thing... MANY religions and various traditions have claimed there are forms of demonic or disturbed beings/spirits/etc. and that's because there's a bit of truth to it. It all depends on how far you're willing to open your own mind.

Buddhism says that there are spirits that are called "pretas", or hungry ghosts, spirits that refuse to take rebirth due to their own deluded minds, etc. So I support the existence of such beings. It's logical in a way.

First, why the interest in demons? They do exist and serve their master well. You seek those who have experienced their nature? Then I must admit to being one, and no, it was not a fun thing. Let it be enough to know that they exist, and seek only what is within the light of all that is good. Do not be tempted to dwell on their existence or they may find you of interest.

Because if someone could have seen Him, how can He convince that He doesn't exist?
