Let's see, places are reopening every day - & new places are opening too - but there still aren't that many.

Mona's Cafe on Banks St. is solid for middle eastern fare, but for more restaurant options, I would head up towards Esplanade.

For a good grill, the Beachcorner on Canal near City Park is good. It is a bar, so bear that in mind.

Juan's Flying Burrito up by Canal on Carrollton.

Doson's Noodle House up near Orleans on Carrollton.

And I don't know how close this is to where you need, but Parkway Bakery & Tavern up by Orleans & S. Jeff Davis is some o' the best poboys in town.

Happy eatin'.

I hear Tony Angello's either opened or will reopen very soon. It's at 6262 Fleur de Lis between Veterans and Harrison Avenue.(504) 488-0888 It's worth the trip. Not too far.

Parkway Bakery on Jefferson Davis Parkway near Bayou St. John has the best po-boys, especially the roast beef.
