First I would suggest to be ready to get something very soon, because mail takes a while to arrive.
Second, space is limited in their quarters so make sure that is can be tucked away and locked up in a safe place where he is.
Third, men cannot wear any other jewelry beside a wedding ring or small chain that can't be visibly hanging outside the uniform. (They are not allowed to wear body piercing in their ears or face while in uniform either).
Fourth, you probably don't want to send food (candy) because it may be opened at customs and tampered with, smashed, lost or be a melted goo.
Guys usually appreciate simple things and don't always want to be fussed over. Ask if he would like some music CDs or book? They don't get much time to relax and most guys will want to sleep every chance they can get so the above (music/book) may be a good thing for him to have some down time.
Best Wishes to finding that gift and a BIG Thank you to your boyfriend for serving his country in these hard times...Thoughts and prayers for a safe return from a 17 year Army Wife.

My school sent care packages to Iraq and they don't have much to do..
1. Magazines are cheap, so get him his favorite one
2.Gum like trident and dentyne are good cause they don't have many dentists overseas....toothbrush and toothpaste would be good too
3.Card games that he could play with his friends, they're light and portable.
4.Canned food like beef jerky would be good, something other than army food.
5.Shampoo, deodorant, body sprays, I'm pretty sure they all have the same type overseas.
6.Lastly, pictures of you!!!!! He will really enjoy it and putting it in a nice fame would show how much you miss him.
I hope u get some good ideas!!! :)

Write him a long love letter. Maybe it's something that your guy wouldn't like, but you would know that better than me :). I know personally that my boyfriend would probably really appreciate something from the heart. Support of any kind, especially when in a situation like his, is a really great thing to get. Just send him your love!
Best wishes to you both!

I know this sounds cheap, but go to Dollar General and look around. Buy him a nice notebook, write him a song, send him pictures of his family and home, do anything to remind him of home.

A picture of you naked or if not naked one that is pretty suggestive, like wearing nothing but a shear see thru lace something or other!m It goes in his helmet and with him everywhere.

If you can afford to have one of those glamor shot pictures done he would probably love it. Also, bake cookies - lots of cookies.
