Sorry, but that's an invalid conclusion, based on faulty premises. You would be right, if the Old Testament was comprised completely of parables. But nowhere does it say the OT was all parables. In fact, Jesus said things like "Have you not read ..." many times, indicating that at least HE thought the OT was reliable.
Does the old testament contain parables? Possibly, although I don't know of any offhand. However, there may very well be some. What I am positive is not supported by Scripture - only by modernistic assuptions, is that all of the OT consists of parables.

The old testament isn't comprised of parables. It's actual history. Archaelogy has proven the Bible: Old testament and new over and over. King David among all the others were not parables. You can't just pick and choose what you want to be a parable.

Where does it say they are parables? The Jews seem to think they are a real record of their history. But, if they were parables are they not just as valid as if they were real? Every parable Jesus told had a life lesson involved and a way to understand future events and the way things were and were to be. So, parable or no we should literally take heed of them.

Jesus referred to the law and the prophets, and the OT all the time!! Even as a young boy, he was an amazing teacher, and all were amazed at his teachings. Jesus verified they were true! He said so, and it was not uncommon to have studied it in those days. But he knew more than most, and could help explain them. The Old Testament is NOT composed of parables. It is not even alluded to anywhere.

IT's pretty specific when Jesus speaks in "parables"...However the Old Testament are a mixture of Historical books, poetic books, and prophetic books. Make sure you know what books you are reading. You might be reading a Historicle book and think it's a prophetic...I'd get a good commentary to help you on that... :)

The previous testomony has distinctive sections, with distinctive purposes, to distinctive human beings. the diverse OT is definitely historic past--not in simple terms memories. those activities relatively occurred and a few of them have been documented with the aid of foreign places rulers of a given era (Shalmaneser's prism, Sargon's cylinder, and the archives of Sennacherib, to call some). the diverse OT has prophecies, maximum of which undertaking the country of Israel, lots replaced into fulfilled and lots hasn't yet relax certain, if God says it is going to ensue, then it is going to. i don't think of your question is approximately prophecy, regardless of the incontrovertible fact that, yet you do look to have a query approximately factors of the regulation of Moses. the diverse regulation replaced into ceremonial--the techniques, the priestly clothing, etc. That replaced into certainly binding on the individuals, yet that section replaced into fulfilled with the death and resurrection of Jesus. different factors of the regulation have been ethical, and function some absolutes for the two formerly the regulation and after. You stated homosexuality, for one. God hates that sin, and lists this in Romans a million as something that faces God's wrath. Paul additionally stated that the diverse Corinthian believers were stored or converted from some exceptionally vile existence formerly they met Jesus. examine a million Corinthians financial ruin 6 and you will see. additionally examine financial ruin 3. so which you relatively do not look to get the objective of the OT. this is authentic that for Church Age believers, we at the instant are not under the regulation yet under grace. you may seem it up. We do have faith that factors of the previous testomony have been fulfilled and factors are not. We do have faith that if the recent testomony has a parallel or comparable passage, we would desire to constantly save on with what the recent testomony teaches. I won't say the OT isn't valid--it relies upon on the context and subject remember to hand. Please lay aside the detest and bitterness you sense and are available to Jesus. He mentioned He could under no circumstances ever shy away everybody who is composed of Him in seek of the two salvation, forgiveness, or His maximum suitable.
