I always check my eggs for cracks at the store, but once in awhile I get home with a cracked egg and it KILLS me to just throw it away. Do I have any other options?

No, you have no other options. It's just not safe to eat the cracked ones.

How adventurous are you?

If that egg was cracked in the carton, it is most likely that the egg was never unrefrigerated for a time greater than 4 hours (the time require for pathogenic bateria to reach levels that are deadly to humans.)

I eat that egg, first only because I don't want a mess in my fridge. If you don't want to eat it, cook it up and put it out for an animal.

If it's not a big crack (like the egg is starting to run out of the shell) cook it but don't boil it or make a cake .

I wouldn't eat them, it isn't safe. Salmonella is often caused by bad eggs. You can use them for compost. Also, if you save the shells, you can use them to amend soil (adds calcium). Additionally, slugs hate egg shells. So, if you have a slug problem in your garden, you can spread shells and not have any more slugs!

What's wrong with cracked eggs? just make sure there is no shell in it when you cook it. I worked in a grocery store and no one touches them except the person who works there. they are perfectly safe. just use them as if you were making something other than over easy

throw them away. make sure to check them at the store before you buy them too. you can always put the eggshell in house plants which is supposed to be really good for them.

Wash your hair with the egg.

yes, use them to wash your hair. I've always wanted to do that but thought it was such a waste to use it on my hair.. but since your eggs are cracked already, its a good excuse/chance to use it on your hair for shinier, healthy hair :)
