I would like to get a tattoo on my ankle or foot, but I can't seem to find a design that particularly WOWs me. Although I love butterflies and things like that, I want something truly unique and artistic. Henna tattoos are really beautiful, but I haven't found one for the ankle that I like. I want something that doesn't take over my entire foot, but isn't so small that it's pointless. Does anyone know of any good sites for some ideas? Or does anyone have any suggestions? I've done some image searches for "ankle tattoos," but still haven't found anything I like. I may be a little picky, but if I'm gonna have something on my body for all eternity, I want to make sure it's something I won't mind looking at.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

don't limit your searches on the internet to "ankle tattoos" or "foot tattoos" there may be the perfect tattoo out there for you that happens to be on somebody elses arm. or leg or whatever. tho i do think you may run into the problem of not being able to find a "unique" tattoo or tattoo idea. because so many people get the same kinds of tattoos. only one of my tattoos is unique in design. i have never seen anybody else with one like it and doubt i ever will (it covers the top of my left foot).
most people who have more unique tattoos are those who go to custom tattoo artists who can come up with some truly amazing art. good luck in your search for tattoos. i love both of my foot tattoos and they mean the world to me. those are the tattoos that people end up loving the longest... ones that mean something to them.

i have some stars on my ankle that i LOVE. they dont consume me but theyre not so small that theyre pointless either. i will recommend though that you do NOT get it on your foot. that was where i originally wanted to get mine but after doing research and talking to many tattoo artist i came to find out that a tattoo on the foot will look about 30 years old after 3 years. this is because the skin on your feet is always pealing and replacing itself and because your feet get a lot of exposure. if you would like to see any sort of pictures of my tattoo feel free to email me =) irdll@yahoo.com

Go to a REPUTABLE tattoo artist and talk to them for a while and have them design one just for you . They may be able to pick up something from your personality that will be blow you away. It's worth asking. It's your body , you have the FINAL say.
If you still can't find anything you could even look through art books.

I have 5 tattoos. One on the top of my back, one on my lower back, one on the left side of my stomach, one that goes down my right side, across my ribs down to my knee, and one on my foot. Out of all of these my foot hurt the most. It only took 30 minutes but I would rather get the one on my right side which took 4 hours done again than the one on my foot. I was in so much pain, but then everybody is different. My friend was in agony when she had her ribs done, but loved the feeling of her foot being tattoo'd. everybodys different :)

If you don't know what you want to get for a tattoo, then you probably don't need to be getting one! You should get a tattoo that is meaningful to you and not just get to feel cool. Having something on your body for the REST OF YOUR LIFE is a big deal - if you are passionate about something, it's great to want to express yourself through a tattoo but getting one just to get one? That's lame.

Suggestion:

Don't get something that appeals to others or just wow's you!

Get something that has meaning...
