That is such an medieval concept it makes me want to cry.

What evidence is there that diseases come from Satan? NONE.

Did we invent telescopes for nothing?

People blaming sins for diseases is what lead to witchhunts, many genocides, and corruption. Please LEARN from history for goodness' sake.

i agree...disease is one of the key proofs of evolution...the weak and the unlucky die...anyway. I am a devout Christian and a studied man, there is no reason to blame sin or Satan for disease...it strikes even the purist amongst us (children); thus only the corrupt and ignorant can claim disease is because of such things as mans' holiness...it is absurd...

Though this is the point money-hungry theologians of every faith bank on (and I do not use 'bank' by accident). people will give away everything just to make sure some mortal does not think they are on the same level as a little African boy with AIDS, or on the same level as some American Baby with an addiction to Crack....they don't want to feel like the thousands who still die from treatable disease...they don't want to feel the same because the truth is....in this country, and around the world, the innocent are more likely to die than the wealthy, the influential and the powerful...

my opinion..let your conscious work on that tonight while you are comfortable...spreading your version of truth on the computer that cost more than the yearly income of millions of people...I'll let you feel innocent...but I am not the judge of your spirit now am I?

It's a little disturbing how much some people idolize Celebrities/Athletes. I get it, it's disheartening when your favorite player is charged for something like this. However, great player or not, he is a horrible human being. And it makes you pretty horrible for defending someone like this. The people claiming a set up and blaming the girl are in serious denial. LT has never proven himself to be the most stand up person. And a respectable, married man would have NEVER even gotten himself in the situation to be set up!

I don't think so it is the Christian concept that in the Garden life was pure. While an angry world blistered outside the Garden in the sin of 1/3 of the host of heaven. There were no such problems in the Garden... Now that we are no longer there we are subject to the anger of the world and subject to the results of disobedience, Corruption. Because of the increase of knowledge (also prophesied by Jesus) we have some way to delay the result of sin and corruption that engulfs us.. If you think that we can win this war without divine intervention .. GOOD LUCK... Jim

What God loving and fearing person has performed a genocide, witchhunt, or political corruption? Let alone a whole civiliation. You can't prove that a someone has done those things with a truly God loving and fearing attitude. You don't know their motives, so how can you blame it on the belief of God.

Now I know some Christians do blame the Devil but that's not really true. I blame the sin because it was our choice to sin. Not the Devil, all he does is tempt. We blame sins, because in our Bible it says that after Adam sinned man brought death into the world.

Romans 5:15
"But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ."

And lol, telescopes... You mean microscopes.

I have attended many types of churches and the only ones I have personally attended that claim disease and sicknes on Satan is Pentecostals, and not all of them, but enough. One church I went to claimed they were demons and even if you had a minor cold with sniffles, it was a demon attacking you.

One man I worked with was trying to quit smoking and he took a little toy demon looking screature from the He man toys(remember them?) and everytime he had a nicotime fit he took that toy out and hit it and smashed it because he claimed that nicotime was a demon and he was casting out the nicotine demon. He never did quit the 3 years i knew him.

Not all churches teach this, most non Pentecostal churches are more logical in that area at least.

Well, as far as we Christians are concerned Satan tempted Adam and Eve and they sinned causing the fall. Through the fall all evil entered this world. So I believe it is safe to say that he is guilty as charged.

Most diseases come from std and a corrupt lifestyle. So again who corrupts? Satan. But, this does not mean we are not guilty by association nor are we absolved from our part in the whole cycle. Wow, it was really our fault.

The Bible is history. The Fall of mankind when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit is where the laws of entropy entered into the creation in a stronger and more potent way. There was a rift created by the fall that we see evidence of today. Sickness and disease are part of that.

Definitely medieval. Don't forget Hurrican Katrina was supposed to be the wrath of god too. While I can believe that people have these concepts, I would also like to believe that educated people nationwide are refusing, slowly but surely, to pay polite lip service to such insane logic.

Who said that disease is from sin/Satan? I must have missed that comment. I don't know whether to laugh or be ill. I'm sure these are the same people who are against stem cell research. After all, anyone with Parkinson's disease must have done SOMETHING wicked to deserve being punished so severely.

.... I don't know anybody who blames diseases on satan.
Diseases are an essential occurence in our body because humans get ill at least once in our lives, therefore coming from God. However, that doesn't give us any right to blame Him for that because without illness and sickness, we'd have a perfect body, and no one has a perfect anything.

Also, if you are thoroughly annoyed by the fact that "People are blaming Diseases on satan" or whatever, please, keep it to your self and not annoy other people with it.
