No sir, transubstantiation means you ARE eating flesh and drinking blood. Thats the doctrine, feel free to dismiss it as nonsense though.

"However, the Roman Catholic Church believes that, in accordance with what Jesus said, the underlying reality was changed: the "substance" of the bread was converted to that of his body. In other words, it actually was his body, while all the appearances open to the senses or to scientific investigation were still those of bread, exactly as before. The Church believes that the same change of the substance of the bread and of the wine occurs at every valid celebration of the Eucharist."

It's symbolic.

You don't eat it.

You recieve it. You recieve the body that was torn open and hung on a tree with people mocking and laughing at him. You recieve the blood- which is life- that he gave to you, suffering all of God's wrath for your mistakes, and mine.

You can mock religion all you want, but you don't deserve to mock Jesus. The human price in pain he paid was bad enough, but he had to hold the SINS OF THE ENTIRE WORLD. Hello? Aren't you grateful? God only loves you and wants to show you mercy and blessings. His plan is always going to be better than yours. You will know, ethier through salvation on Earth, or expieriencing hell, that he is real.

Why do you think 2.1 billion people (though many are hypocrites) are so convinced?

FAITH

Of which, you apparently have none.

0. Given: a million. devil is God's enforcer 2. God births 3. devil kills 4. God beginning the guy, cannibals, and sin 5. devil kills all 3 above guy/men = Christ-like missionaries =/= (does not equivalent) Christ guy/ men = sinner (not one guy is righteous or with out sin) the wages of sin = death as a result, all of them will die on the palms of cannibals. So what proportion cannibals does it take to consume the Christian missionaries???

The correct interpretation of communion is that it is simply a commemmoration of what Jesus did for us on the cross. You do not actually ingest the body of Christ. It is just a reminder to believers of Christ's sacrifice.

So true. Hey, I do say eating some waffles and thinking its god is better then eating people. Its better but still not a sane idea.

The Lord's Supper isn't cannibalism. Bread isn't human flesh. And wine isn't blood. They represent the body & blood.

Big difference.

The Lord's Supper is symbolic of recieving Christ into yourself. Recieving who he was and what he did. It is a far cry from actually murdering someone and eating their real flesh. wanna get real?!

its called communion and you eat bread as symbolic of jesus's body and drink wine or juice as symbolic of his blood. It all symbolizes being covered in Christ.
