Dating is 'suppose' to be all about opportunities for a couple to get to know each other. But sometimes I wonder what dating is all about too. It seems to be a social custom that is too awkward to engage in at times.

Dating is eventually meeting other people exploring other person's ideas. and actually finding the person who fits you.

Dating is actually sharing--your ideas and other peoples opinion....

Dating is meeting interesting people

Dating is about seeing the one person you truly admire and being able to look at them whenever you want to. It means being close to that person and sharing a bond together. (interest, laughter, dreams, goals) etc. It's great. you should try it sometime. Have fun =)

boy meets girl, boy likes girl and hopefully she like him back so they go a DATE where they get to know each other. if they like each other they carry on dating until they are ready to take things to the next level.

Sadly, the true intent of dating has been lost by many young people today who think is a way to find cheap, immoral sexual exercise. In reality and among people of high morals, dating is the process of spending time with a person of the opposite sex in various social situations in order to find a person you are fond of and (equally important) who is fond of you. Sadly, too many young people confuse marriage behavior with dating behavior and this confusion leads to sorrow, lack of self-respect, lack of self-worth, and a confused sense of identity. Young people who engage in random dating sex never, EVER will develop the close bond with their future spouse that couples with higher morals will develop in their marriage. Couples that are sexually active prior ro marriage have a much higher rate of divorce after marriage and a much higher instance of extra-marital affairs. They never understand the proper role of sex in a loving and respect-filled relationship. Couples too often confuse lust with love. In todays world probably 80% of the couples that think they are in love are actually just in lust and don't even understand what love entails.

When dating we often meet someone that we are wild about but they don't care much for us. Other times we find someone that is wild about us but we don't care much for them. But if we keep looking and keep positive we will find someone that we are wild about and they are wild about us. If we have the brains we are born with THAT is the person we marry and spend the rest of our lives with.

That is what dating is intended for. Keep in mind this answer was given by someone that NEVER engaged in random sex prior to marriage and as a result I have been happily married to one beautiful girl for 27 years--never divorced--never separated--and five sons grew out of this union--three of whom are also married. None of them lived with their sweethearts prior to marriage and all are still married to the same beautiful girls they married in the first place. I'm convinced that good old-fashioned morals and character go a long way in life.
