The time was split I believe at the cross. Unless I'm mistaken, before the cross BC and after AD. I don't believe AD started at the time of his birth but divided by the time of his death burial and ressurrection. If I'm wrong, I apologize. That's my understanding.

The time when Jesus lived is registered as the fifteen year of Tiberius Caesar's Empire, being Pontio Pilato Judea's governor, Herod, Galilea's tetrarc; his brother Phillip, Iturea's tetrarc. It is believed the period is the one between October, year 27 and September, year 28 of the Christian era.

BC is before Christ, The other one is AD "Anno Domini" "Year of Our Lord" in Latin. AD starts with His birth.
Or was supposed to - the monks who figured it up got it a little wrong, so they set the starting point wrong by about 4 years. He was really born, then, in 4 BC.

Ok sweetie, it's BC (before christ) and AD (anno domini which is latin for the year of our lord)
It's also known as BCE (Before Common Era) and CE (Common Era) for those who do not use the Catholic Church's definition above.
He would've lived in AD or CE
I hope that helps you.

He lived in A.D. (Anno Domini, year of our lord), aka C.E. (Christian Era) and the years just keep adding on, since according to the Christians, he's still alive, kicking it with the Old Man.
