i am doing this journey very soon, flying direct it will take me 12 hrs approx with singapore airlines but the return trip takes 14 hrs approx, flying direct.Longer coming back as it must be uphill!!
i'm flying from heathrow.
then from singapore i am flying to langkawi which takes 90 mins.
the flight to singapore is ok but long, there are games to play on the screen in front of you and several films to watch too but most people sleep and eat.it's nice to be able to get up and walk around during the flight to stretch legs, take a book or two.have fun.

The flight journey takes 12hours and 40minutes on average.
Due to the time zones, you leave London 11Am, and arrives 7.40Am, in the following morning. (with Singapore Airlines, direct flight)
