I agree, it sounds like the flu, with exception to the reocurrence. Do not let doctors shrug it off, many don't want to misdiagnose you and then be held liable. It sounds like it could be serious, so really press the issue and find a doctor who cares. In the mean time, do as much research as you can online about the symptoms, but be weary of misdiagnosing yourself! Good luck!!

Yes, I've had it before many times. It's called Cold Sweats. Your doctors shouldn't be brushing it off. It can mean many things, none of which are good. Seek a second/third opinion... Good luck!

Yes, for years the doctors ignored me as well. Finally found an endocrinologist who discovered I had hyperthyroidism.
Such symptoms may be caused by various conditions, see your doctor.
