Take it from me. My daughter moved out just as soon as she possibly could. Actually a few weeks before she turned 18 to be exact and it was really tough for the both of us. She had all the same ideas that you do and I guess that is how you should be thinking at your ages. However, she has been gone now for only 5 months and wants so much to be back at home. It's a cold, hard, expensive, unforgiving world out there and I'm sure you will not listen to what I tell you but just remember...living on your own is not all it's imagined to be and as far as meeting someone and still living at home, that is actually respectable. Any young lady will value a guy that isn't out of the house and wreckless because he can be and besides, if you are a gentleman, you'll have to have her home at a decent time whether you're out on your own or not. Attractiveness has alot to do with treatment. Respect yourself, respect the ladies and you will be the envy of all!

dont move out unless you have a really good job that gets you at least 1k a month, food bills and rent will take it all. And you're friends still live with their parents too no doubt. when you get into college you will have a dorm room and you wont have to spend all your money on bills, and you can use it on things you want. And if you are not going to college get a full time job and save your money when you have a good amount like over 10 thousand look for a room mate and an apartment.
Good Luck

i think that its reasonable to stay with your parents until after high school. there isnt a rule in the teenager book that you need to be out of the house by 18.
im sure it would a lot easier if you had meanings of income and can support yourself for rent, food and transportation. but since youre still in high school, you dont have much experience in the work world. until you make at least 20.00/ hour, i say stick to the books and stop worrying about what your friends are thinking just because youre living at home at the age of 18.

My answer to your quetion is, you are still in school, not only that in the 10th grade, you can't afford paying rent with the type of jobs that are out there for people who have no High School Diploma. The way your question sound is as if no one has asked you to live with them yet, but you're thinking for the future, don't rush it kid, enjoy the free life while you can because it won't be here for ever. Don't be a follower, but a leader. Happy Holidays :)p

You should stay home and graduate from High School, as you are already behind the curve since you are 17 and in the 10th grade. Your education should be the most important thing for your future, since eventually you will be supporting yourself and you can't have the good things in life working a low wage job.

I think you should stay with your mom until you graduate. You have no clue how fast that's going to be here. I understand you will be 19, but at the same time, you are on a 10th grade level still. Be patient.

I guess the big questions you should ask yourself are: Am I going to college? or Am I getting a job?
If you are doing either or neither, you need to budget your expenses and see if you can make it on your own or even with a roommate. Sometimes staying at home a few years can be a good thing if it helps you attend college, save for college, work toward a better paying job, or save money in general.

Woah. Try some punctuation at first so that your question is easier to read. Do you mean that you if you start to get a gf/bf they're gonna want to know what is going on? They don't have to know everything, but unfortunately I think if you still live under their roof, you're not going to have all the freedom you want. If you can afford it without having to have them pay for everything, then do it. Just don't move out and expect them to pay your way.

Try and think about it this way. You have (hopefully) 60 more years to live, at best. Someday you will see your parents at their funeral, they will be gone from you forever. What is a couple of years in the grand scheme of things that would make them pleased and happy. Stay with your parents, let them love you and care for you. Enjoy them and connect with them because the day will come when you'll never be able to talk to them again. Remember you have possibly 60 more years to live, how many years will you live without them approx. think about it.
