I had to put my cat down a few years ago because she was diagnosed with feline immuno-deficiency syndrome (FIV), which is the feline form of HIV. It's more contagious and more difficult to treat in cats. Just keep close guard on your cat. Make sure it's not around any other unfamiliar cats that may be infected (farms, strays, etc.) Leukemia is another.

Correction, cats CAN catch a cold or the Flu. They can also get Feline Leukemia, Feline AIDS, rabies, distemper and Panleukopenia. That's why it's so important to get your cats checked by a vet and get their shots early!

Cats are susceptible to leukemia, feline AIDS, and urinary tract infections, to name a few. If you think your cat is sick, take her to a vet you trust. Unless your cat is sleeping excessively, not eating, or urinating outside the litter box, it's probably nothing as serious as any of the things I've mentioned.

Of course. Any animal can catch a sickness of any kind, any sort. For example rabies.

Yes, they can.
I'd say more, but your question is so broad, I'd have to enroll you in a veterinary course to answer it.
Do you think your cat is sick? If yes, take it to the vet immediately.
