People who are single are perfectly capable of being happy. I would loved to get married some day, but if I had to chose, I would rather know God and live in heaven with Him then be married and have a soul mate. Also, the concept of soul mates was developed by Plato and implies that our souls are incomplete without one. This is not true, no one is perfectly compatible with anyone, and people are complete on their own, but when they do find someone, the two become one. Marriage and relationships always need sacrfice, love, and commitment to work no matter how wonderful the person you know seems to be. Everybody has their imperfections.

Would having a soul mate in Heaven make it Heaven for you? I think no matter what Heaven turns out to be it will be nothing like what I imagine and everything that I had hoped for. God is so much bigger than our dreams and thoughts.

You've received some inaccurate answers. You may be relieved to know that gender will not be lost in heaven, and those that say you should be fine without out and be perfectly happy are wrong. "Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose."

no gender, spouses, maratial love, etc. But we wont be angels either. we are not pure like them. we will get a genderless body at the end of the world. There will be love, but a family type love (brotherly and sisterly)

Ok first to answer your question, you said something that disturbed me- well makes me question what you truly believe- for you said "when we die, and "hopefully" go to heaven.."

Are you doubting your salvation in Jesus Christ? If you are saved in Jesus Christ you WILL Go to Heaven! You should not doubt that. I think that is what you need to really pray about first...then the wisdom and understanding of God's word will follow---with direction from the Holy Spirit. But first you really have to TRUST in what Jesus did on the cross for you, and that He did die and rose again 3 days later so that we who believe could be set free from sin and hell.

Well, the watchers (angels sent to earth to watch over humans), lusted after human women, married them and created their offspring, the nephilim, so apparently, angels aren't sexless.

No, we will not b genderless. But we will have spirits, and then a new body. But we will not have marriages we will love each other like brother and sister. Read the bible.

Why would we have no passion or love? Is it impossible for you to love someone without sex, or is it impossible to be passionate about something without sex?
