The United States has fishing regulations that are enforce by DNR Offiicials. Forida also has rules and regualtions conerning what fish, how long and what kind to kept during the seaon. If you are caught witha fish in Florida our of season, the judge will make you a new wallet after he is done with you. The biggest fine for keeping a Red Snapper under 10 inches was a $500.00 dollar fine.
On Federal Parks where fishing you must carry a license and a WMA stamp. The Bass must be 14 inches to keep. If you are caught with a Bass under 14 inches the fine can be up to $1,000.00 and unfortunately for some fisherman that had been on a boat the DNR observed them with binoculars and when they docked their boat they had 10 Large Mouth Bass under 14 inches.
I wasthere when they docked. The DNR wrote out the tickets for them not having a WMA Stamp and illegla keeping of the fish.

6months later while I was there talking with one of the Wardens it had come up oin the conversation about the guys who had ten Bass under 14 inches.
The fine was $ 400.00 per fish and $265.00 for not having a WMA Stamp.

I never seen those guys again.

My moral here is that the future of fishing looks good thus far since regulations have been enforced especially in Florida. I have chatted with a few Florida natives and they say to me you don;t want to get caught violating the ruls of foishing in Florida especially out of tonwers...the judge will take you for all you got.

Happy Fishing or go to the Fish market and buy the Fish...it's cheaper...lol
Bewteen the two Men, they had to russle up some cash and I know that hurt them, but lets face it, people like that is what ruins the fishing for tomorrow. So laws have to be enforced.

Not very bright.
However, some conservation measures are turning fishing into a rich man's hobby. There has to be another way of conservation with equal opportunity, and restrictions that can be taken care of with money are not equal opportunity measures.
