Only about 75-100 mg of vitamin C is required a day. The body does not store vitamin C, so any excess is going to be excreted. The most likely symptom of too much vitamin C will be diarrhea.

If it's natural vitamin C, then you can't overdose on it in plant form. Because, it's center is copper and it's brothers and sisters around it are bioflavinoids.

Synthetic vitamin C can cause the disease it was meant to stop. Scurvy.

Research has also shown that synthetic C, otherwise known as ascorbic acid... doesn't prevent scurvy... but, only from plant foods.

I don't know of anyone these days, who can go without eating some kind of fruit or vegetable, so that is why scurvy is virtually non existent.

The people who died from it in high numbers were during Captain Cooks expeditions long ago when the ships surgeon figured out that if they stored limes on the ship, their sailors wouldn't die of scurvy.

Not sure of your daily requirements but this should be easy to find.

Too much Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) can cause crystals in your urine (and that will hurt) so be careful.
