Stay away from any department store, even the higher priced boards are made of cheap materials. Go to your local skateboard shop, look em up in the yellow pages. You can usually find a colplete skateboard for $80- $ 150 Blank decks and blank wheels are a good way to lower your cost and stil keep your pro quality. If you go to a real skateshop (not in a mall) the guys there will usually be skateboarders an know there stuff. Especially a shop owner. I own a skate shop in Washington state so I cant help you out unless you want to buy online. www.thesk8spot.com I have the best prices w/ free shipping. You could get a decent set up in the $80 range.

Wow! well a walmart board is way different than an actual pro deck for one. Theres really no concave. . . . the grip sucks. . and the break really really easy. I'm not sure what the prices are like in illinois but i'm sure they are not much different than here in Oklahoma. Decks are usually 50 dollars with tax and of course an extra 5 for grip. Trucks are a lot different . . .they range from about 40-60 dollars and that goes for wheels too. Bearrings are cheap ( like 7-8 dollars ) So and estimate of about 130 dollars would be good. : )
