to be a submissive partner to a strong dominating man? To want her to be happy in traditional roles, of lover, mother and ,sexually submissive ? While respecting her identity and need for her own career and life of course. This is a serious question for adults.

All i can say,is to each her own. In my opinion, women (the ladies will stone me for this one) are biblically the submissive ones. this happens in a marriage. There is nothing wrong with asking her to do something as long as you respect whatever her answer is. You can't demand and you have to realize that if what you are asking conflicts with what her life already intails and she is not ready to give those things up, work with her. Just don;t try to be controlling. There is a difference between a strong man and a controlling one and there is thin line between the two. Stay away from the line. Yo be supportive and she should have no problem being submissive.

Yes, if the girl doesn't want that and has a spirit and mind of her own. There are of course women out there that love that traditional role and thrive in it. I think it is harder to find then in society today but they do exist. I personally don't think anyone should dominate another ( unless of course it is as role play sexually and both agree) Maybe the dominating man has some issues that need dealing with if he enjoys always dominating the weaker sex.

No it's not wrong. You should get to know someone to the deepest degree if you expect a lasting relationship with them. Part of having a succesful relationship is that you both have common expectations of each other. If those are qualities you look for in a woman, then you should ask and eliminate those women who won't be able to be compatible to you.

I made sure before I got married that my husband and I had the same opinions in our goals in life, in religion, in gender roles, in finances...etc. It's so important not only to your happiness but building up that intimacy that is necessary in a romantic relationship.

Great question.

Well, you should ask her if she minds being one before you just tell her to. She might not take that the way you're trying to say it. If she understands where your coming from (that obviously you need her to be submissive, at least most of the time, in order to feel better about yourself), then there shouldn't be a problem. But if she doesn't want to, you shouldn't force her to. Love her for who she is, not who you wish she was. Some girls just don't like to take a backseat.

Yes why submissive, not at this age, partners should be treated equally. If he's allowing you to have your own career why he wants you to be submissive. This is morally wrong. Talk to him and let him know how you feel.

i don't think it's wrong, and that's what i like in my relationship. i feel happy and more comfortable when my man is more dominant. but since everrrryone is different, and if she wants a different kind of relationship, then you should respect her choice. find out what she prefers through her actions. for example, carry her bags, have her sleep on your chest, carry her bridal-style just for fun, etc. and see if she likes it, you should be able to see. i think that most girls like to be a submissive partner, but not everyone does, and if she doesn't, then you shouldn't force her to. respect her choice of equality in this relationship.

You can't ask someone to be like that. There are plenty of women who are, but that will be evident early in the relationship. But as far as asking an independant partner to be like that, that's asking her to change her core beliefs and you can't do that.

i think it is not wrong if she agrees being like that and as long as you respect her likes and deslikes. dont becomea a macho or something like that, nobody, and i seriously mean nobody, likes a man who is very violent, not very nice to his wife and disrespectuf to other women.

It's not wrong to ask, but you have to prepare yourself for the possibility that the answer might be "no."
