You seem so busy worrying about what Christian beliefs are. Why do you care? If you do not believe, that is your choice. But do not pretend to know about something you do not believe, because you know damned well that you cannot disprove the existence of God, any more than a Christian cannot give you the proof that you need to believe. We take the existence of God on faith, also something you know nothing about because you have none. All that your questions boil down to is trying to ridicule someone else about what they believe. What you don't understand is the fact that your opinion means exactly nothing. Who are you? Some poor misled fool that got angry at God at some point in your life over something that was your own fault in the first place? You on a God-bashing crusade now? You think that it will affect God? Ask any combat veteran and they will tell you: there are NO atheists in a foxhole. Remember your beliefs and convictions well at the judgement, when it's too late.

Their only source of income is donations from the people... They don't make a steady paycheck like we do... And all they are trying to do is offer hope for the hopeless, and comfort for those in need... I don't believe in God, and if there IS a god, I don't believe any one religion has the correct way of worshipping... Anyways, the point I'm trying to get at here is, you think religion is to seperate the fools from their money.. From what? Their 2 dollar donations? Some give up more, yeah that's true... But fools are seperated from much more of their money for concert tickets, basketball tickets, CDs, clothing, jewlery, and a whole array of other products, and they are not just seperated from a donation amount of what an individual can afford, but for only a set price that only certain people can afford... If you are concerned about the seperation of money from fools, complain about the outrages prices they charge for video game consoles, amusment park tickets, Televisions, etc.
I don't believe in God for the same reason you mentioned... There have been many gods before this God, and all have been use to explain the unexplanable... If there was one true God now, it would have been so from the beginning... It's not like people who believe even take God seriously.. They only worship in a way that is convenient for them... What's wrong with using a higher being as a source of comfort? He doesn't really exist, right? So, it's not like believers are gonna go to Hell for worshipping the wrong way if there is no Hell to go to...
The only churches that sicken me are the so called miracle churches, that "heal" people on TV... Disgusting. I feel those are the ones who are in it entirly for the money.

I have to disagree. The ancient Egyptians had advanced math, science, and medicine. Perhaps their gods were a source of knowledge instead of an explanation for a lack there of.
You should read about the Sumerians.
Also, most people are drawn to religion for special powers rather than an explanation of the unknown. A person will only accept someone else's explanation of the unknown if they have seen or experienced some type of extraordinary benefit. Money is not important if you will somehow learn or gain the ability to perform supernatural powers or "miracles". It's really a quest for power. They believe understanding the unknown will help them to attain something special. If you really think about it, religion is an active quest for human evolution and the transformation into a new super being. So you think someone trying to evolve using their own mind is foolish compared to people who are just waiting for some random act of nature?

I don't know of any christian that invites others to church for money. And furthermore, our church does not demand money. As far as our faith being the correct one, the Bible backs us up. Perhaps you should read Triumphant Return. I forget the author but it gives very specific and scientific evidence of God and Jesus. And I'm not talking about the millions of years of storms, disease and starvation. I'm talking about specific prophecies and the specific revelations. The most interesting chapter in the book is the last 2.

Fair enough.
I thought it was because we beat them all in wars, after being put down for century's.
If you read what the early Christians went through in order to convert others, then you may review what you have just said.
Still, many of our brothers who believe in other religions fought with us against a common evil last century.
It is not about money my friend, the church owns almost as much land as the Queen of England, and she owns almost the whole world.
If you are not happy about the church, any church, then simply do not allow them in to your life.
It's quite simple.
I will not intrude on your life, but I will be here if you ever wish to talk about it.
I will pray for you, and sorry but that is something you will never change.
Be good.

I don't think just because the Christian text is complex that equals more proof.Actually, if you look at the worldly knowledge we have now there are fallacies in just about every text of the Bible. But yes of course, there were many religions before Christianity and there will be many more in the future unless we event some kind of ignorance pill.

True, religion is a sociological construct designed to give hope and safety to the naive. Buddhists, Babylonians, Greeks, Aztecs, Sumerians, New Zealanders, Romans, Native Indians, all created gods and religions. The religions that were socially and financially viable survived to this day, the rest bit the dust

~~~YD,,, As an atheist I feel compelled to your contention that christians have Ulterior Motives in their recruiting of more sheep. I feel that most are of pure heart and sincere. Now if you are referring to Scientology or Sun Myung Moon, etc, etc, then I agree whole heartedly. ~~ The 'gods' created by Man were meant to serve as Symbols representative of Human Beings and how to live life in a time when Storytelling was the ONLY referrence to History and only method of Sharing Information ie; Knowledge.
image that God is a guiding tension that could grant the varieties and good judgment for the huge Bang to apply. there is skill (the Bang) whether it want actualities to objective at. A clarification why there is order instead of chaos. whether this is a tender God who works with the aid of optimum and persuading, not capturing lightening bolts at each physique who displeases his royal highness (an theory borrowed from the Romans i think of). So issues crawl, constantly in direction of greater and extra friendly existence. after all, the universe is God's conciseness, the reality that provides him something to pay interest to.
you are right. Man was designed to always have a void within them requiring a need to fill. This has been the way since beginning of time. The question is which god is real. The God who has withstood the test of time and the cursing of man.
