About 140 calories ( 6.0 oz/187 ml ). Sound like a lot for a dry-ish wine, but remember, alcohol is 7 calories per gram. (protein is about 4, carbs about 4, and fat about 9). Water is 1 gram / ml (but Alcohol is lighter), so figure 150 grams of stuff. Of that Merlot is probably about 12% alcohol. so 12% of 150 = 22.4 grams of alcohol which would be 126 calories (and then there are some sugars left since Merlot is not completely dry.)
