Im not a morning person and prefer to do a dance workout in the evenings,eat dinner and then do some situps on my bed before i take a shower and go to bed. Will doing situps on my bed cause a strain on my back?

No, sorry! It's WAY more easy on your bed because of the springs in the mattress. Maybe you could put towels or a yoga mat on the floor and then it would hurt so bad?

Your bed is not stable or hard enough to maximize the results from the sit-ups you are doing. Yes, it could potentially strain the muscles in your back. Try the floor beside your bed with an exercise mat.

I'd guess they're a bit less effective becaus your muscles aren't all even, they're "resting" a bit more than if you were on the floor with no cushion. It's like th difference on walking barefooted and wearing sneakers

heeey, we have the same nickname!!!
ok, it's bad to do it on the bad, especially if it is soft and flexible..
it's bad for the back and its result is not as efficient as in the floor, because the bed absorbs the energy u make, i don't know how to explain that in english because i speak french!!
conclusion: do it on the floor, it's better for your health
