God created us all, but not all of us follow him. That is because we were given the gift of choice. Christians do believe that God is in control of their life, but that does not mean they stop (or should stop) thinking.
We're not all puppets on strings. That's where free-will comes into play. For example, say you're driving down the road, and for no particular reason you decide to swerve into the other lane. Upon doing so you run into a vehicle, flip fifteen times, and roll into a pile of flaming metal onto the shoulder. Who would you blame--God or yourself?

I think the idea is that he didn't create atheists, rather he created humans who then became atheists. However, when you expand the scenario to include God having total control over everything that happens, then yeah, that argument becomes something of a problem for believers.

This is just a religion. You can believe that He created every living thing. Or if you are an atheist, you can believe that He is not real and did not create every living thing. It is just whether you believe in Him or not, like Baby K said.

One thing He gave us is a free will. atheists are ordinary people that chose not to believe. Some people don't believe God will send anybody to Hell. He wont, they go by their own choosing. Hell was not prepared for man, it was prepared for Satan and his followers. Hell is a place of eternal torment. God sent His Son so we might escape Hell Atheist are people who think if they don't believe, then it won't be true. But they are going to surprised.
most atheist, when in a crisis, call on God for help !!

God is a sociological construct designed to give hope and safety to the naive. So God did not create people, people created God(s). Assurians, Sumerians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Christians, New Zealanders, Native Indians, all created Gods to provide them with the safety and hope they lacked. The religions that were socially and economically viable lived to this day, the others bit the dust.

God did not create atheists. That's like asking why did God create child molesters, rapists and murderers. God do not create these. People choose their paths whether willing or their circumstances

God does not create atheists. God gave us free will; the freedom to believe in him or to not believe in him. He does not control our decisions. However, mysteriously, he knows which path we will take.

He created humans with free will. They chose to be atheists and not believe. That's their doing, not God's. Now God knows who will choose to believe and who won't but you can't hold him responsible for what humans do. That's like me holding you responsible for spilling my sweet tea right now... God created humans in the garden and they have been reproducing. I don't think that God forms each one of us specifically, I'd have to study my Bible more to figure that one out. But He does have a personal relationship if you choose to believe with each one of us.

That is tough and I'm not sure how to answer that. May I offer this for your consideration. According to the doctrine of election, the souls that will live in eternity with God are predetermined before the world began. Could the rest be atheists....? I do not believe this doctrine..... for WHOSOEVER believes in Christ Jesus shall not perish but have everlasting life. Amen

Well, I come from a Missionary Church background and I would probably say that even though God did know that they wouldn't believe in him, he gave everyone a fair chance to come to know him as our savior. But, I think as Christians we tend to look down on Atheists as something equivalent to dirt because we sometimes think we are better than them because we know God on a personal level.
