I'm not sure about the statement about crosses being invented 100 years AD. What about the remains of Spartacus' army @ 50 BC that were crucified at each mile between Capua and Rome? Surely there weren't always convenient trees?
Crucifixion implies a cross, so unless you have authority to back up your statement, we can assume that crosses were used.
Still, ease up on the rants man. You don't serve the cause of freethinking by sounding like one of the fanatics from the believers.

Because they rarely read it and because it is a transliteration no matter which version you use. So far only the Book of Isiah seems to be totally authentic according to the oldest source I have heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls. But even its authenticity is that the two sources seem to agree. By the way it seems no one really knows the true name of the Spirit that created all things and became flesh and dwelt among us.

Are you stupid? Jesus died on a cross, just like the majority of people who the romans crucified. To answer your question, because everyone wants to interpret the Bible the way they see fit, thinking that they can change the way God made it.

See the bible has more than 50 editions that i've read each saying the opposite of other and their are so many contradictions in them they cannot be divine books yet i have seen the messages are tottlay opposite to each other and their are atleast 12 scientific errors in bible one place it says the earth is circle at other place it says it is flat so according to bibly the world is of the shape of a Disc while in reallity it's Sphere while in the Quran their is NO VERSIONS AT ALL" SAME QURAN ALL OVER THE WORD although their are different versions of translations yet if u see in Arabic no word is different from one Quran in the World to other it's exact the same and yet no contradictions and no scientific errors in it at all!

Of course they're all different answers. Look at the globs - oops, gospels: they are four different versions of the same story, and none of them agree in their narrative. Heck, the two fables of cretin - oops, creation - in both "genesis" and "exodus" don't agree with each other, nor do the three version of the ten condom-ends - oops, commandments.
If the bible were a person, it would be Sybil Isabel Dorsett.

There are MANY 'versions' of a "bible".
Mostly it's a matter of 'cherry-picking' and ignoring various portions of many ancient-texts, along with a large amount of 'making-things-up' / rationalisations in order to make a 'version'-of a bible say pretty-much whatever one wants it to say.
So, depending on what one wants it to say, there are different answers for different people.
That's assuming that a person actually READS their 'edited-version' of a bible, instead of just going-along-with whatever they're told to believe.
