Make your morning as simple as possible by doing things the night before. Limiting the number of decisions you need to make first thing in the morning, can be REALLY helpful:

1) Lay out/iron/accessorize your clothes
2) Shower at night
3) Make/plan out your lunch
4) Put all the things you need in a neat pile near the door (purse, bags, paperwork, etc.)
5) Go to bed at the same time each night, and try to get up at the same time each morning.

Then when you get up, focus on how you will feel at the end of the day if you DO go to work (sense of accomplishment, day being worthwhile, helping someone else out).

Stay in the habit of going to work--no matter how miserable you feel. Being social (at least around people) helps you stay connected. Staying at home by ourselves every day isn't good for our mental health. People need community.

If you haven't gone to work in a few days, and can't bear the thought, take a test run and go the library for a day, walk around Walmart or sit in a coffee shop. Just get up and going! The momentum will make the first day back at work better.

Hang in there, you can do it!

By asking yourself if you want to live in the streets because you are homeless and have to go to shelters and eat at soup kitchens. It has become very hard for the homeless to sleep on the streets and be in the areas during the day panhandling here in Houston. The police come and make them go to the shelters. They are now viewed as a plight on society.

Try watching Joel Osteen. He motivates me to be a better person.

Honestly, if you don't like your job that much, look for something new. Go to school or try working from home.

life is a process you come to realize is full of endless aches and pains. it never ends. it is all about your personal programming. that is, it is bad or good depending on how you interpret the incoming data. do a disc wipe and in the future clean and defrag frequently. detach and keep tainted or suspicious-looking files out of your hard drive. detach and keep your distance. think of others as well-made androids but androids only. dismiss all your cravings and concentrate all your attention on carefully chosen goals. do not deviate from your goal. it is all just a game. that is how you win the game.

I have the same problem.....and the bills don't help with the motivation.

I hate my job and everyone I work with. The only thing that keeps me going is that I have to have $$ of my pet's food.

Good luck

Think about how it would be unemployed with no money for food, or rent. That should be enough motivation.
