Not at all...Judaism welcomes converts, albeit outwardly reluctantly. The reason is that the Torah discusses several covenants. The first of these is the covenant God made with Noah and his children. It applies to all mankind and is made up of 7 general laws. The remainder of the covenants are incumbent only upon Jews.
Thus, Judaism understands that there is a path to God for all mankind without NEEDING to enter into the covenants of the Jews. Thus, the talmudic dictum of "The righteous of all nations have a place in the world to come."

The Torah holds that one not need to be Jewish to attain salvation. In fact, Jews are required to observe 613 commandments, while non-Jews need observe only the seven Noahide commandments.

Jews do not try to convert people. But, they gladly accept anyone who truly wants to become Jewish. Anyone can become Jewish.
