Because it is the right thing to do.IF a man or woman did something great than died for it i would definitly honor that person,they the dead are not dead not by a longshot.We go to different planes when we die.I for one respect graveyards.

To remember that the person meant something to you and as long as you're still alive they will always be alive inside of you. And if you never knew them, to remember their cause if it was righteous and honorable.
