Of course dogs have feelings. Maybe the friends that laugh at you don't. Animals are very in touch with not only their feelings but also ours. They get their feelings or pride hurt when scolded, they get excited and happy to see us or get treats or go for a ride, they give kisses which is affection and love. They also feel pain. Physical pain can bring a pet to their knees and cry enough that you'll see tears. Your friends need the lesson here, not YOU!

No, dog's don't have feelings. Silly goose... only humans have feelings because humans are all alive! =D no other animals have brains and they can't register thoughts and emotions!

Sorry, teasing... teasing...

Yes, all animals with brains have emotions. Your friends might think it's a bit silly but is there any other reason for your dog to come back to you when you call? Is there any other reason that if you scold them, they mope? If animals didn't have feelings, they wouldn't feel pain, or anger, sadness, or even love. If your friends have ever seen a mom dog who just had puppies, and one by one her puppies are given to other homes, she'll mope around and search for the puppy for hours, it's really sad. Tell your friends that it's kinda stupid not to say that animals don't have feelings. And that people who believe animals don't have feelings are often cruel animal owners.

OF COURSE they have feelings. Tell your friends if they don't have a dog then they don't know. I have a Chihuahua now since September and it's amazing how much you love them. They definitely have feelings and they know when there'ssomething bothering you. Being that I'm with my chi like 24/7 I somehow know when she's happy, sad, or something's bothering her. Just by looking at their eyes, you could even almost see an expression on their face.
This definitely tells me I've bonded with my chi. Your friends definitely have to get a dog because they don't know what they're missing.

THEIR LOSS

Yes, I beleive that anything..or hmm...anyone alive has feeling. Some animals could care less, but cats and dogs are big obvious ones because they are a bit more common. Why do you think dogs choose their best friend? My parents got a dog for my mom and she ended up following my dad, dogs DO have feelings.

The frontal lobes of dogs are very developed. That is where emotions are. So, of course a dog has feelings and shows them. Have a great day. Your friends need to do their research.

Mine have feelings. Carson, my German Shepherd/Malamute Mutt, is very sensitive and often shows emotions relative to those I show him. If I act excited around him, he too shows excitement. If I act sad, he gets very calm and supportive of me (such as trying to cheer me up through cuddling etc). If I'm mad, he cowers off in nervousness. If I'm calm, he's calm. The list goes on...

He is also very sensitive to his surroundings. He's scared of loud noises, for example, and shows great anxiety when fireworks or anything similar are set off. Also, depending on the weather, his mood changes. Snow= excitement, rain = depression, sun = calmness, etc.

Bruiser, my miniature schnauzer, is a bit more difficult to read because his mood stays fairly consistent in a number of scenarios. His most clear emotions, however, are calmness and excitement, and show either of them when Carson does.

Missy, my femaile mini schnauzer, is usually between calm and cheerful, but changes her mood depending on how I act towards her. Sometimes she doesnt. Nonetheless, she's a princess, so she sometimes acts snooty!

Hopefully this confirms your beliefs that dogs have feelings!

i believe dogs have feelings. dogs are exceptionally intelligent and loving (when treated with love and not terror) animals. to even think that animals in general don't have feelings is absurd. animals bond or seek companionship with humans and it is wrong to treat them as anything less than a family member. I have a wonderful cat, named Finnegan who has been abandoned, attacked by feral cats, neglected and abused by the last person who had him. I have noticed that when I got really angry with him once and made him feel that he was an awful creature and that I did not love him anymore, his whole expression changed. He looked so surprised at first - how can a cat look surprised you ask? you can tell from the very sick feeling you get when you see his whole expression go from happy-go-lucky to wide-eyed and then drop before he makes one attempt to apologise for whatever he's done by trying to nudge you affectionately with his head. This is exactly what Finn did. I went as far as to push him away because I was angry, and he just stood there looking at me before walking away to fall asleep under the bed. I felt SO badly. I told him that I was being a very bad mummy, and that it wasn't his fault that he made a [very minor] mess; he wasn't feeling well and mum had no right to behave the way she did. So, do I believe my cat has feelings? You bet I do and I believe that all animals have feelings. We as humans are so arrogant that we assume that we're the superiour species on this earth. We only judge animals as intelligent when they respond to things to which we want them to respond. I'm sure they think that everything that we force them to do (tricks and such) are pretty stupid and serve no purpose. They humour us. How dare we even deign to judge if animals have feelings when we really don't take the time to fully study our feelings let alone theirs?

I want to add that it usually takes time for an animal to show his/her personality because being animals, they are cautious and also want to get to know you too. They study your personality and observe everything that you do. Once they feel comfortable with you they start doing more and more surprising things that fully establish (not that I ever doubted, I just know they're very vulnerable. They're like children.) that they are more than just intelligent.

Yes she does. When I take my dog for a walk she thinks every dog is going to be friendly and like her. Sometimes she smells them and they growl or try to nip at her and she looks hurt. One time she was in my yard and she saw a black cat. She went running up to the cat expecting it to run away, but it didn't it just sat there. She looked surprised, and started to smell it, and then it swatted at her and she came running back to me like the cat hurt her feelings.
Other times she looks embarrassed if she does something silly.
And when she is frustrated about something she huffs.
And it is a proven fact that when dogs get stressed out they yawn to try and calm themselves down.

Yes my dog has feelings. He doesn't like it when I close doors in his face or put him out if he doens't want to go. He sulks if I don't pay attention to him and it is obvious when I love on him he enjoys every second. I love the feeling he gives me by letting me know he is happy.

Of course he does!

He is such a personality. It is so funny when he sulks. But he also gets happy. He gets sad (whenever he sees a suitcase he gets sad cause he knows it means we are going away). He gets excited. These are all feelings.

Your friends need a dog - then they will understand.
