It is never wrong to go to the gym. That is as long as it is not an obsession. To be healthy is best started when young....only because it becomes a habit and easier to continue than when you are older and set in your ways. Just remember being fit also includes watching your dietary intake. Enjoy snacks or junk food, just in moderation. For the most part eat using the food pyramid, have regular checkups with your doctor, dentist and optician as well. One last thing is to use your brain. A healthy brain is a stimulated brain. Read books, play brain/mind teaser games, enjoy the sunrise or sunset, smell the flowers blooming or just go for a hike/walk. All of this can stimulate the brain and give the body a positive attitude because you are fully fit and enjoying life.

No, don't worry about what other people think. There are many stupid people that have false ideas about the fitness lifestyle.
I started going to the gym because I was too skinny. I hated the way I looked, I wanted to gain weight. People would ask me why I exercised, they thought I didn't need to because I was skinny. I ignored their ignorant advice and continued to go to the gym. I also started to eat more healthy food more often. I gained some weight and everyone I knew said I looked much better. Nobody accused me of being an aneroxic anymore.
As long as you eat enough healthy food to maintain your fitness lifestyle, you are fine.
Being skinny like Nicole 'Skeletor' Ritchie is just as dangerous as being obese. People assume that skinny is healthy, they are wrong, it's not.

Heck no! It's never to early or late to be exercizing. Take it from me, I'm 57 and wished the heck I would have paid more attention to my physical activity, when I was young. It is great that you have those habits when your young. Then you can pass the same on to your children. At least they won't be sitting in front of a TV doing video games and getting FAT.

Not wrong. Just don't over do it. Don't push yourself too much. Depending on the exercises or weight lifting you do some of it can hurt you more when you are very young. For example, my son had a serious injury when his personal trainer allowed him to try to lift to much weight. These kinds of injuries can happen easier to younger teenagers, so be careful not to over do anything. Teenaged girls can also injure their knees by pushing too hard in baskeball, for another example.

Being fit isn't wrong--it's obsessing over weight that's wrong.
If you are exercising at the gym, but not overdoing it, you are perfectly fine. Eat, work out, and be healthy.

Not at all. Why do you think we have P.E. in the schools. Your health is important! The people are right - you shouldn't have to WORRY. But I don't think you are worrying - it sounds like you are just doing what you enjoy!

If you enjoy it and don't overdo it, good for you, stay active. Don't worry about what other people say, they just wish they had your focus and desire to stay active. Keep it up.
