My border collie is soo afraid of being groomed for some reason he cant take the noise from the clippers. I need some quiet ones that I can use that won't make him freak out.

We just shaved my dog this weekend. We just used clippers that you would buy anywhere for cutting people hair. They were super quiet and she didn't seem to mind. . and she normally runs from any kind of noise like that. She stood like a good girl, until we got to her neck and then decided we were done for the day. If he is still afraid of the noise then take him someplace comfy and have him lay down and just turn the clippers on and put them about 2 feet away from him. Pet him and tell him he is good boy until he gets used to the noise. Then move it a bit closer. Continue until he is used to it. Work slowly. Lots of praise and maybe some treats.

BCs are not a trimmed breed. You can scissor the feet and backs of the legs some.
