NOT AT ALL... Growing up i raised boxers and they are THE best dogs to have, not just with other animals, but with a family. They have an amazing temperment and if you treat them right, they are very loyal.

The first few days may be a little hard introducing them, but nothing too hard. They are curious dogs though, so expect a couple scratches.

Try this:

put kitty in the bathroom and stay with her/him and close the door. let them smell each other through the door. the next day, do the same. the next, open the door and let them see each other, (wise to use a baby gate or something to that effect) do this a few days until they aren't so scared or excited, then, slowly introduce. They will get along just fine.

good luck on your AMAZING dog, hope he is everything you hoped for. Feel free to email me for boxer advice.

It mostly depends if the dog is a puppy and the cat is not temperamental if the cat has a sense of territory and is a bit hostle then it might not be the best idea but if it is friendly and has give and take in it than it might be ok if the boxer is a puppy then train them to get along but if it is not than you should first but them together and see if they respond well to one another

That might be a bad idea. It depends on the temperment of both the dog and the cat. You might be able to teach them to like to be around each other if they don't like each other at first.

I have always had cats and dogs. they generally get along..Just keep the cat food up and away from the dog, and give the cat a safe haven for when she needs to relax away from a rowdy dog.
