You should probably stick with sony if you want it that cheap.

Get a sony Xplod cd player and a set of front and back speakers that will fit in your jeep, and one of their amps that powers 4 speakers + sub. Get a Sony 10" or 12" sub with a bandpass cabinet.

Don't hook any speakers to the stereo directly, run everything out of the amp. I suggest wiring the entire system directly to the battery, installing in-line fuses, and a capacitor for the amp, so it doesn't kill your battery. Hook up the bass, and mount everything securely.

A full sony setup should set you back less than $400 if you do all the installation yourself. If you have more cash to spend, or if you want to upgrade later, just sell off the old components, and replace them with better stuff. Once you install this setup, it will be easy to swap parts out for more bbbbbaaaaassssssssss.

if you want some cheap but good 12" subs these will sound good
http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=1426048
wire them like this http://www.cardomain.com/shop/wooferwizard.pl?num_of_subs=3&impedance_of_subs=4ohm_dvc&x=123&y=12
i have used them for about a year now and they hit HARD if you have the power to run them.
this is the component set i would go with http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kNFbfUhqCCC/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=410&I=023GTC542
you will need an amp for the subs here is an amp that will power the subs good http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XFFDpYFqydt/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=500MRPM450
that amp won't push them the highest they can go but it will give them good bass unless you wanted more than one amp than you could go with 3 of these http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XFFDpYFqydt/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&tab=essential_info&i=607XA5001#Tab
and that will meet the RMS perfect and give you some killer bass
sell your amp that you have already if you don't want to run you component speaker set off it because it won't power your subs.KEEP the head unit.
