Don't know if this helps much, but I have heard Chryslers' LH vehicles equipped with the 2.7L V6s are notorious for sludging intenally causing oil pressure restrictions. If that is the case, the engine is on its way out. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I'll say this so it makes sense . When you depress the brake petal your oil moves forward in the pan and away from the pickup tube inside of the oil pan. therefor you will not have oil going through the oil pump or to the vital components that need oil. with out oil going to these components your going to seize the engine and cost way more money than what a few quarts of oil would have cost. Do yourself a favor and check your oil when your filling up your car with gas and you will prolong the death of your car!

A battery dying doesn't blow a computer. And a computer doesn't cost $1100 to replace. You need a good electrical person to check things out. You could have something as simple as the ground wire from the engine to the frame being loose. That causes all kinds of electrical problems. Any decent shop will hook a pressure gauge up while the car is idling to see if it's your sensor or it's really low.

I hope this isnt correct for your cars sake but your oil level may be so low that the sensor goes off when the level in your oil pan becomes tilted from the braking.

check your oil level,it could be low ,causing the oil level sensor to trip, when you apply your breaks, the oil runs to front of oil pan causing the sensor to pick of low oil .
