I am ver anxiuos about everything and always think the worse. WEll the other day i recieved a weird chain letter about making fast money. I have since been very concerned about how they got my address and if the letter that i opened was poisoned. I have now been researching anthrax thinking that i was contaminated from the letter. What are the chances of anyone doing this? I know i am probably overreacting but at the same time i cant stop from thinking these thoughts and i dont know who to talk to about it. I feel like asking for a blood test to test for anthrax. What should i do?? WOuld anyone else worry about such things from a strange letter?:

I will note that you can report the sender to the police for the letter alone, whether any disease is involved or not. Chain letters that involve money are felony offenses under the laws of just about every developed nation and state on the planet because of the damage they can do.

I wouldn't worry about the letter. Companies buy addresses all the time. I always get catalogs and stuff from companies I've never even heard of.

I would suggest that you get professional help for your panic attacks though. There are a lot of medications that can help. Only a doctor can decide which is best.

If you are on meds now, call your doctor immediately - your dosage or medications may need to be changed.

And to the person who thought you were paranoid about anthrax in an email: READ.

Have you been diagnosed from a health professional that you have this disorder? Please don't get offended by this question. You can seek professional counseling for your anxiety. Those who are trained in helping people conquer their fears of certain anxieties would be able to help you. When you are in your counseling sessions different techniques or strategies are giving to help relieve the stress of anxiety or the ongoing panic attacks. You don't have to live your life in fear. Just look up some local counseling centers in your town and book an appointment. Hope this helps. Good luck :)

You think that you've contracted anthrax through an email that you read? This is just ridiculous, and if this is a serious question..you need to get psychological help ASAP. what you are asking is impossible..and this doesn't sound like just a panic disorder. please go to a doctor.

Sorry, i misread..i thought that you said it was an e-mail you opened. Anyway, there is still nothing to worry about ...if worrying about this is affecting your daily life and hurting your ability to function normally, then you should go see a doctor.

First of all, are you on any medications? If so, the side affects of anti depressants are anxiety, paranoia, and mania (ongoing plans of destruction, or suicide and or dizziness or vertigo.

If you are, e mail me so that I can reply back with some information to help you. Otherwise, if you are too paranoid to allow me to help you, then I can't.
