Yes tell him and say my business is personal and its on a need to know basis only and your sister don't need to know.

Rather than being confrontational (which didn't seem to have worked), give funny answers that say nothing and end the conversation before you are pressed.

The property tax doubled when I added a second cardboard box for a garage.

How much do I make? Enough to pay the bills and treat myself to a Big-Mac.

I wouldn't tell him, like you said, you've only been dating for 3 months. Now, if you guys were engaged, that would be different. Just ignore the crap out of her rude and intrusive questions. Caller id works great for avoiding her phone calls.

Say to your boyfriend "I really like you and would like to continue dating you and see where it leads, but I don't normally divulge personal information to anyone outside of close family who may have a need to know. Please ask your sister to stop giving me the third degree about my private financial information." This does not assume that he knows or does not know." If his answer reveals that he does know or supports his sisters intrusions, well you take it from there.

Wow...I dont think she should be asking you this. She should really mind her own business...besides being over protective does not lead her into asking you these type of questions. You should just tell her enough to support yourself, and enough to pay for all your bills.

damn........wow what a nosy person, but don't let her disregard for privacy ruin your relationship, just tell your boyfriend that if she wants to know anything that she could tell you without intervening on conversations remember love can only be broken when someone pulls out the scissors to cut the cord, don't be the one with the scissors!!

I would tell him. I think that you should nip that in the butt before it gets out of control. Especially since if she's asking you, she's gossiping to someone else!

And FYI - "I like keeping my personal finances to myself" is a fine explanation for ANYONE that asks. How rude, I'd be pretty ticked.

omg she is soo nosy. Tell your bf because if she wont stop asking when you answer that its personal, then its more likely if he asks her to stop then she will. Have you asked her to stop asking her such personal questions?

if your bf doesnt do anything or if it doesnt work when he tells her to mind her own biz then try reverse effect on her. you ask her how much her payments are and see how she feels about that.

I would tell her its none of her business and yes you need to tell your boyfriend. It's important to build the relationship on honesty and hiding this from him would not be a good start.
