Unfortunately, I have to answer honestly, so my answer is yes. This comes from someone who admits she has a few extra pounds but is not so obese that she breaks chairs, etc.
In fact, just the other day (I was ashamed of myself for this too) I looked in the rearview mirror and saw that it was full of this extremely overweight woman. I'm talking at least 450 lbs. I was yucked by it. Then I looked again and she was cramming a donut in her mouth and chewing with her mouth open and the jowls shaking and I almost vomitted. It was like a train wreck.

Ok so you did a good deed. No I'm not offended by heavy people. I'm offended by people who think that they're so much better then anyone else. There are no perfect human beings on this planet. When are you snide, conceded people going to realize that? I'm so sure you have some imperfections. Acne, small penis, no @ss, a pimple, to pale, can't tan, big feet, small penis. Oh I already wrote that right? Stop talking and writing about people. And I know when you read this you'll say to yourself "Oh she must be ugly too!" Quite the contrary honey! I am the bomb and everyone else is merely a firecracker. Yes I've got it going on! But I don't talk about other people just because they have flaws. I'm not perfect either! Just damn close!

No, it's not offensive to me. Prejudice and intollerance offend me, but obesity does not. Having worked in the fitness industry for years, I have worked with extremely overweight people and these people are in a difficult situation. It's almost like being deeply in debt... it's a very tough cycle to break out of. It takes years of commitment doing the most difficult thing they've ever had to do to free themselves from obesity. And, much of the time it is due to underlying health circumstances such as thyroid, diabetes or just a slow metabolism and unfavorable genes, so it is not entirely their fault. Sometimes there are feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, so comments like yours do not help. Try thinking of what it must be like to be in their situation instead of judging people so harshly.

Did you ever stop th think that this person has an eating disorder? There are many different eating disorders out there not just anorixia, and bulimia. Maybe that person has gone through a tremendous loss and is depressed. And fills his depresion with food. Maybe you should feel fortunate to not have such problems!

Not...specifically. No, I can't imagine why someone's weight would have any affect on me, at least, not in passing. Clearly you had some amount of compassion or you wouldn't have helped him up.
That's like asking if amputees offend me. I mean, they'd need help to get on their feet too.

not quite sure how to answer this question... being offended by "incredibly fat" people sounds strange if they're not doing anything offensive. pls don't take this the wrong way, but i think it's way better to actually see them up and walking around the malls rather than sitting around, not being active at all...

Gee, one person at a shopping mall food court? Your question sounds as if you have to deal with hundreds of them everyday. If they offend you (why is everyone "offended" all the time?), then don't look. Someday, everyone will be perfect like you.
On a good note, thanks for helping that person.

You should ask yourself what happened to that person to end up that way. Were all human and all hurt the same, some people you can see the effects, some you don't. I am glad you helped him, but you don't get any sympathy votes from me for being so rude on here about it. You know to have some compassion and understanding for the human race.

I wouldn't say it offends me. People with no compassion offend me more. Remember, you never know what is going on in another person's life.

No, obese people do not offend me. They have a right to be in the public just as much as you do. Yes, they even have a right to eat!! Don't be so cruel.
