well she went into heat, shes grumpy. did you forget to feed her or anything. If you are not planning on breeding her i would suggest that you get her spayed to avoid her getting moody and having any accidental litters

Ours was like that -- I still have what might be a permanent scar from claws on my thigh from her falling on me when she was in a heat-induced frenzy -- and it only got worse. But, spayed, she's a pretty friendly kitty.
You can even get it done while she's in heat; the vet may charge a little more, though.
Failing that for the moment, just give her attention when she wants it, but be prepared to back off quickly. Don't take it personally...

Cats get very aggressive and moody when they are in heat. Most of them get very affectionate and then turn on you the next minute. Their bodies are craving a male and when it does not get satisfied the cat gets desperate and from what I understand they are going through some of the same symptoms we do with pms.hormone changes. Please consider getting your cat spayed as soon as possible. And forgive her for swipping you. She doesn't understand what changes her body is putting her through right now.It is even normal for them to attack the male when he is taking care of nature.

Cats need their space. They are very independent creatures. I have one who doesn't like me to move her when she is in my chair. I get a little attitude and a slight growl when I pick her up but she knows better than to bite the hand who took her in when she was a stray, feeds her and takes good care of her. Get your cat spayed and she will calm down.

Yep, she's in heat, and subject to mood swings. Think of it as feline PMS. Just give her the space and time she needs and she should come around in a couple of days.

If she's in heat then her hormones are all out of wack. Just give her some time and space and love too.

First of all being in heat is very aggravating to your animals I would suggest taking her in to get fixed right after she is out of heat! She is irritated and it is not fair to her!
