Obviously, you should clean the scrape or cut well with peroxide or soap and water. Let it dry well. A good antibiotic to put on it would be Bacitracin. Cover it if you are wearing clothing that would cover the antibiotic so the ointment will stay on the tattoo. Until it is healed, use a fine layer. The tattoo should heal well. If the abrasion is deep, say like a knife wound, it would close as if you didn't have a tattoo, that's life. Just remember, take care of your tattoos. They are a part of your body art to show the world.

The ink is tattooed into a deeper layer of the skin. A cut or a scrape will heal over with no problem to the tattoo. This has happened to me before with the one on my arm and back.
If you have a gash or a deep cut it could heal and change the tattoo whether there be a scare over the tattoo or an area of new skin that has replaced the damaged area. Thus leaving an area of un-tattooed skin in your tattoo.

it depends. is the tattoo new? there is always the possibility of the skin healing with a scar and the scar being visible within the tattoo. it all depends on the severity of the cut or scrape and how well it heals.

My husband has a flag on his arm and a cut right through the middle, that went pretty deep. It's been a few months now though and it looks fine, you can see a little bit of a scar, but barely.

It depends on how new the tattoo is. If you've had the tattoo for years the ink is already in the skin and won't be harmed. If you just got the tattoo a few hours ago it will hurt, and may even get infected.

If the cut or scrape is deep enough to scar it'll distort the image.

It depends on the severity of the cut. I got a puncture wound on one of the tattoos on my thigh. It was pretty deep. It healed ok but the ink is missing where the wound was.

as long as its fully healed its not going to bother it a bit. If its deep enough though you might have a scar through the tat but nothing serious. It'll be fine

i have a couple on my leg and being a girl i of course shave and the odd cut has happened but it healed nicely!!

well i dont know if u just leave it but i know it will if u put on some hydrocoritzone or some skin healing cream for cuts,
