$15 to $25 Depends on Traffic and where you want to go in Newark.

Best Bet, take the NJ Transit Bus, or the airtrain / NJ Transit Train if you don't have alot of people and/or alot of luggage, if you are going to the area of Penn Station.

If you don't have a lot of luggage (and travel during the day when it's safe.) , the NJ Transit's #62 bus from EWR to downtown Newark-Penn station (the main terminal where PATH trains go) is the cheapest option and takes less than 30 minutes. The second best option, about $7 off-peak is to take the Newark Airtrain (follow signs that have an airplane over RR tracks). Take it to the last stop, the NJ Transit RR station. There, you will need to buy two tickets, one to leave the Airtrain turnstiles, and another to use on the NJ Transit train towards Newark (board at the NYC-Penn station bound platform, the first set of stairs after leaving Airtrain.). If you need help at Newark-Liberty station, there are agents that can help you with your ticket purchases.

And a word of advice, don't stray in Newark after 7 PM, especially with you luggage and DONT EVER give your luggage to anyone. There is no baggage handling outside of the Airtrain.
