.org is a website extention. If it's a video you would have to change the extention to the proper format, but it sounds like you didn't download what you think you did.

.org is the extension for an organization website. It isn't a movie format...or not any I could find.

.org is usually part of a URL. Like a school name, www.oxford.org. Try opening it in Internet Explorer or FireFox.

Are you sure it's not Ogg? Any way my suggestion try VLC or video lan player. IT plays almost everything without you needing to down codecs etc.
