Sounds like your dog has a medical problem that is causing this. I think it's time to talk to your vet and maybe have them run some test. Could be a UTI.

I assume by "where he sleeps" you mean a crate, is this true? If so, first get him checked by a vet to rule out a physical problem like a UTI. Second, look at the size of the crate. It should be just large enough for him to stand up and turn around in. If it's too large, he will pee in one area and sleep in the other. Also, if he's become accustomed to being "dirty", meaning he sleeps in his own urine and feces, it can be difficult to teach him otherwise.

You also might be forcing him to hold it too long. Remember, he's a puppy with a small bladder, and the rule of thumb is that he can only hold it for one hour for every month of age he is - that is, a two-month old puppy can only hold it for two hours. Granted, a dog's metabolism should slow down at night, but chances are your puppy still needs one or two potty breaks during the night. Set your alarm for two AM and six AM (depending on when you go to sleep and wake up) to take him out. As he gets older, you can cut back to getting up just once at night, then when he reaches six to eight months he should be able to hold it all night.

Peeing while sleeping is not normal. Have him checked by a vet for a medical problem. This really sounds like a bladder infection.

I second that. I'd take him to the vet to double check in case there's a urinary infection. The other possibility since he's still a pup (especially if he was the runt of the little or just on the slightly smaller/underdeveloped side) is that his bladder just isn't growing as fast as the rest of his body (this happens in kids sometimes). If that's the case then he'll grow out of it.

How old is your puppy? As a rule, dogs can only hold it for their age in months plus one and that is the number of hours that a dog can physically hold his bladder. For example, if the puppy is 3 months old, he can hold it for about 4 hours.

He may just not be old enough to hold it through the night yet.

He might grow out of it how old is your dog? Did he do that when yo first got him? If so, very interesting cuz i never knew a dog could do that in their sleep.

He is like a baby. He should grow out of it.
