i have a 300w amp that i want to hock up.i want to hock it up in a room in my apartment. What is the safest but cheap way to wire it and what do i need?it is only going to run 1 DVC sub and a 145W pioneer head unit. Sorry but i don't know were to put this so i am just putting it here.if you can tell me some other place to put this question other that car audio tell me.

the room i want to put it in is small.and i have sold my other sub and the car because i am 14 i am not going to get another car for a some time yet.

To power an amp from house current is going to require a very expensive DC power supply. A 12 VDC 20 Amp supply is good for about a 150 watt amp, these runs close to $100. You'll need more than twice this for the amp AND head unit.

So there is no cheap way to do it.

A car battery will still need to be charged somehow and not while your using the system unless you have some serious filters in place, your still talking some $$$.

you are gonna hook up a car stereo in your bedroom? ummm what are you gonna use as a power source? car battery? power invertor??

and why would you want to do this? it will not sound good as car speakers are designed to be inside a small space unlike home speakers.

put it in a car in or a box till you get a car.
