That is DEFINATELY normal...in fact it takes up to a week and half for some ppl, the soreness and scabs will go away after the healing process
if it stings its only because its not healed yet and the soap/shampoo is prolly runnin thru some exposed skin. when cleaning it dont scrub just dab on it with a loofah or whatever you use to clean ur body with.
its only scabbing because of the healing process...it probably will itch...more than likely it will itch just as it scabs more...but be patient with your body and let it run its course.
remember to keep rubbin lotion on it...unscented lotion...but preferably some ink salve to keep it from drying out.

It's going to be sore until it heals fully. Just make sure that you use Tattoo Goo on it 2x a day and keep it covered while wearing clothes so that the tattoo doesn't get ruined. Don't let the water slam directly onto the tattoo, that makes it sting worse. Just let the water run down your back and gently wash the tattoo area with your fingers. Just remember to pat dry after you get out of the shower and put some Tattoo Goo on it.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Some soreness could still be there, but what are you using to care for it? I have 26 tattoos. I've always used a thin layer of neosporin about 3-4 times a day and wash the tattoo gently once a day and dry it well. My oldest tattoos are11 years old and they still look great

Oh yeah Ive had my tattoos be sore for 2 weeks when healing, its perfectly normal, the scabbing is going to happen to, don't pick or peal it because then color will fall out as well. Leave it be, use lotion and keep it covered at night so your not rolling around on it in bed. ;)

I got 3 below my stomach and it was sore for about a week. The ones on my arm and back were sore for a couple of days but not as long.

Have you kept it covered and lubricated? (Never use Neosporin!) If not, you may have a serious problem. My friend neglected to cover hers, and when the scab fell off a piece of her tattoo was missing. She had to have that portion re-done while it was still tender. Ouch!

yes it is, and also it depends on how deep the needles went in, thats why I love the tattoo artist I have now, I barely scab up compared to the butchering I have had in the past!

in that area it's very normal, just make sure to keep moisture on it ALL the time for at least a month, the best in Udderly Smooth, my first and second tats healed in a couple weeks when using it!

Use pleanty of non-scented (such as luberderm) lotion on it, a scab is normal, don't pick at it. It will probably start to itch like hell, but that is normal.
