If you're consistant, and you commit to it, 30 minutes is a great start and you'll see results as long as you don't eat more. Go for it and good luck. As you get stronger you can do longer cardio sessions or do extreme cardio like running or step aerobics.

30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weight training 3 days a week was the minimum that my trainer suggested for me. Everything depends on you -- if you are ready for 30 minutes a day 5 days a week, then go for it, but remember to give your body at least one day off. You might check to see if a local gym (or your gym) offers free assessment by a personal trainer -- some do.

I do 30 minutes a day 7 days a week. Its enough for me for now. If you can do more do more. Maybe after you done 30 minutes of cardio do maybe stretching if you can. Mix it up some. Denise Austin on lifetime in the morning is great. She mixes it up for you. Plus also watch the calorie intake. If you really want a great dvd that is high engery. Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast. She really does a great Cardio in this one. Is kind of adding a tad of dance to it. Its very fast paced.

30 minutes, 5 days a week is good. Make sure that your heart rate is up for at least 20 of those minutes so you will burn fat.
If you go to a gym, and easy way to get an hour of cardio is a Spin class or an aerobics class.

Once you reach your target heart rate, maintain it for at least 15 min. So yes that is sufficient.

any amount of time is better then nothing. It would depend on the results you want to achieve and in what time frame.
