I thinking we're having Beef Stroganoff. It's really easy, not as complicated as it sounds =). lol

I'm having Cheddar Corn Chowder (recipe follows):
6 ounces bacon, chopped
¼ cup olive oil
3 cups yellow onions, chopped (about 2 large onions)
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup flour
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
6 cups chicken stock
1½ pounds red potatoes, peeled and medium diced
5 cups corn kernels, fresh (about 5-6 ears) or frozen (1½ pounds)
1 cup half and half
6 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
¾ cup celery
Instructions
1) In a large stockpot, cook the bacon and olive oil until bacon is crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and reserve. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the onion and butter to the fat – cook for 5, add celery, and cook 5 minutes more or until onions are translucent.
2) Stir-in the flour, salt, pepper, and turmeric and cook for 3 minutes. Add the chicken stock and potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. If using fresh corn, cut the kernels off the cob and blanch them for 3 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain. (If using frozen corn you can skip this step.) Add the corn to the soup, then add the half and half and cheddar. Cook for 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted and soup has returned to temperature.
3) Season, to taste, with salt and pepper. Serve hot with a garnish of bacon.
Notes:
* The turmeric is there for coloring – not so much for flavor. This will turn the soup into a beautiful yellow color
* Some may shudder that “bacon fat” is being used. Get over it – do some extra sit-ups in the morning.
* Serve this with a good crusty-bread and a nice salad (awesome!)

Hi there; why don't you have a grilled cheese/tomato/bacon, sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup, or a soup that you like. Then for dessert have homemade sundaes.. If this isn't what you may want then omelets with all kinds of veggies, meats, and cheese; serve this with some raisin toast,bagels/cream cheese, whole wheat toast, the list is endless. I hope this at least gives you some ideas and happy eating!!!

I would go with Crispy Rolled Tortillas with Black Bean Filling, Red Bean & Rice Wraps, Spicy Black Bean Tacos, or for something really unique, Sweet Potato Burritos. YUM.

Get some smoked salmon chopped up a little, pasta, creme fraiche (cream if not), dill.
Cook pasta. Once cooked add smoked salmon, lemon juice and cream to coat the pasta. Sprinkle dill over and stir
Then serve with a nice white wine
Enjoy

I vote for baked ham it's easy and a great thing to have with it is this:
a package of frozen hashbrowns thawed out in the microwave dump them in a casserole dish and put in some nacho cheese soup mixed with water instead of milk and add butter they can bake while the ham is and everything is done in about an hour plus when the potatoes come out add a some ranch chip dip for a great twosome add a veggie and you can feed your entire family......if not that.....
I'm with the nachos guy!

see, i've recommended this before, but it really is a great recipe. pastitsio, it's greek, and really simple. what else.... pasta is always a classic, spaghetti with a sauce of four cheeses, maybe. stuffed tomatoes and peppers is a good idea. crepes with spinach and cheese. now that i think about it, crepes with anything would be awesome.

Homemade nachos!
All you need is ground beef, taco seasoning, tortilla chips, cheese, olives, sour cream etc. I had them last night, and they were fantastic! I don't have them too often, but they really are delicious.

A chicken, beef or shrimp stir fry... you can either make from scratch or get them in the freezer section in the grocery store
