Because he was promoting his own agenda by picking and choosing which parts of the Bible to follow, much like today's evangelists.

The more Jesus exposed the hypocrisy of the Jewish religious leaders, the more they wanted to kill him. But notice that his death was not to come directly from the hands of his fellow countrymen. Had the Jews executed Jesus, they would likely have stoned him to death, since this was the means of inflicting the death penalty outlined in the Mosaic Law. (John 8:59; 10:31)
However, according to the prophecies, the Messiah had to be hanged on a stake to take away “the curse of the Law.” (Compare Deuteronomy 21:22, 23 with Galatians 3:13.) He had to be “lifted up” so that he might “draw men of all sorts.” (Compare Numbers 21:4, 9 with John 3:14 and 12:32, 33.) With impalement, as used by the Romans, there could be no doubt about the fulfillment of these prophecies. So the Romans, who were not interested in helping to fulfill Bible prophecies, again played a role in causing Jehovah’s Word of prophecy to be proved true.

Another victim of poor education. I really think it was because he was disrupting there business by throwing over the tables. And if someone gets in your way you get them out of your way. But it was not the jews who executed jesus. I think the saddam example is a good one. Knowone really knows the real answer though cause the only thing that talks about it is the bible. And thats been rewritten so many times to prove others points. It's all a bunch of rubbish and you should really waste your time on it. Jesus was a huge liberal though and i can see how he would be hated. By the whole not bashing gays and free choice thing. Even most christians probably hate him for that.

Jesus was unpopular with the religious leaders of that day, primarily the Pharisees. He preached righteousness and the Kingdom, but they did not want to turn from their traditions. The people actually liked the Lord Jesus for the most part, but the Pharisees provoked the crowd into crucifying Christ, rather than letting Him go free. This was all part of their plan, as they were convicted by His teachings (Matthew 26-28; Mark 14-15; Luke 22-23; John 18-19) This was all part of God's plan, of course, but I would hate to be those Pharisees who rejected Him.

The Jews were the chosen children of God.
Many times God had punished them for following false profits and Idols. So when God came in the form of Jesus the Jews thought his claimes of being the messigha were blasphemous
this is why they killed him. also the Jews back then were being overrun with roman soldiers that persecuted them also because our lord revealed himself as God And He was born in a Jewish state. Simple mistake. but they are still the innocent children they were before only now forgiven.

Technically they didn't the Romans did, but the jews (not all of them just the ones in power) wanted him dead because of what he was saying. They 1) viewed it as heresy, and 2) you know the saying thing about "those who gain power are afraid of losing it"? Well that was basically it. You also have to understand that Jesus was a radical, he was coming up with all of these ideas no-one had ever heard of before and they felt threatened.

Jesus was radical for his day. He fulfilled prophesy.
The Pharisees were afraid of him. They thought he would "convert" people which would take money away from them. They had a great scheme going.
The marketplace they had set up in the temple was making them a tidy little profit. The money changers, the animals for sacrifice, they did the selling and exchanging all for a modest price, of course...and the temple tax. It made Jesus angry to see His Fathers house turned into a common market.
Did you notice that when Jesus was angry, He did not sin? Well, I thought I'd point that out.

they didn't believe He was the Messiah. They were looking for someone to come in another way. Because they knew Mary and saw how He wasn't abiding by the laws of Moses they didn't think He qualified. But the life of Jesus should give others hope that no matter where you've come from, how you got here, how much money you have. You're still kings in God's eye. Stop worrying about what you don't have, nad look at who you are. God looks at you and smile because you're His creation.

The Romans performed the execution but only because Pontius Pilot feared an uprising in his governed territory if he did not fulfill the request of the jewish leaders. Jewish law prohibited them from punishing Jesus directly but the charge was that he was blasphemous by claiming himself to be the meshiah and God incarnate.

please understand me. The jews did not execute jesus. if you read the scriptures you might see that most of the people who REJOICED as jesus came into the city were many more numerous than the few people that were paid to cry out for Barrabbas. i firmly believe that only 2 people were judged by God for the actual conviction of his death. There were several others that Swore oathes until Jesus were dead, but even a couple of them confessed it the apostles otherwise how could it have been written, there were part of these numbers of men who claimed to swear oathes that jesus blood be upon their children, but even if all of these people were judged by god to be guilty of killing and conspiring to kill jesus They were NOT All of the Jews.
Satan rages in the hearts of men, and men are often Deceived by the power thereof, and the relgious Elite often do not rule in righteousness but in hypocrisy.

the romans crucified him when the jews were all at home sleeping. after all, the romans broke over ten laws to crucify him, one being the judging of a "criminal" during night hours. other than that, the ones that did want jesus to be killed didn't want to believe that their savior was a penniless carpenter, and not a wealthy king.
