The SCOTTISH Champions

They are Scottish, listen if you get any Celtic Fan telling you they are Irish, then tell them they can't be the first BRITISH side to win the champions league. That will shut them up.

The thing with Celtic fans is they are british or irish when they feel like it, take no notice of them.

And 2 that guy who said Arsenal were French, how does having three French players in a squad of 26 players make you a French team?

What a stupid question - check the history books before you ask these inane questions.

They are a Glaswegian team that was founded in 1888 by Irish priests to give the catholic communities something to do as only Protestants at the time could get decent jobs. This is the link to Ireland.

I agree some fans need to stop waving the tri-colours when they aren't Irish, but that's a different subject.

They are not actually Irish..its simply that they were founded by Irish immigrants to Scotland and draw almost all their support from the Catholic section of Glasgow, most of whom have Irish roots..

As a result they are also very popular in Ireland, but then so are Rangers, for the opposite reason.
