Traditionally, it is explained as the chance happening of fortunate or adverse events, however I do not believe in chance or coincidence. Everything that happens is cause and effect (karma) ... good and bad, created by ourselves.

I agree with the others (although not for the same reasons). Luck doesn't exist. It (like religion) is a way for your mind to make patterns out of random things and explain the unexplainable.
Ponder this: What's the difference between having a royal flush in poker and a hand full of a whole-lotta nothing?
One is not more likely to happen than the other, but one pays, the other doesn't. So, the royal flush is worth more to you; that's why is "seems" more lucky.

Luck is non-existent to me.
We create our own experiences with the vibrations we emit through our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, words and actions. If I believe that I am lucky then I will be. There's no such thing as luck or coincidence.

A false god.
“But you men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny."
